Watch Kygo cover one of last year’s biggest songs for BBC Radio 1

Just like triple j does here with Like A Version, over in London BBC Radio 1 regularly recruits music’s biggest names to cover their favourite songs while the cameras are rolling. Today, the Live Lounge lined-up a big one: they got Norweigan star Kygo to cover Tove Lo’s Habits, the song that stood out as one of last year’s biggest (just look at those 116 million YouTube views).

With big time edits for everyone from Ed Sheeran to James Blake and Coldplay up his sleeve, there’s no doubt that Kygo made his name as a remixer. But the 23-year-old has also played the piano since age six and puts those skills to good use on the Habits cover.

And if you want to hear how the Scandinavian handles his own beats? Get stuck into Firestone, one of his first ever originals, which dropped at the end of last year and earned him a spot on this year’s Coachella line-up. Watch Kygo take on Tove Lo, with a little help from vocalist Parson James, below.
