Jillionaire and James Blake join the ‘Drunk In Love’ remix club

Over the course of last weekend half the musical world dropped remixes of Beyoncé’s ode to sexy feels, Drunk in Love, from Diplo’s bottom-heavy club version to Kanye’s audio-porn. And now we can add a couple more names to the DIL remix club: Jillionaire of Major Lazer and English auteur James Blake.

Jillionaire and New York producer Richie Beretta apparently “woke up in the kitchen” and gave the track a big room house reworking complete with tribal drums and gated-vocal ‘EDM’ breakdown. Meanwhile, James Blake used his Radio 1 show to preview a typically clever reworking of Drunk In Love under his Harmonimix moniker; the least recognisable of all the (dozens of) remixes, it takes the eerie vocal intro and rearranges it into an atmospheric, shuffling loop.

Listen to both below – and if you’re still feeling the need for more Drunk In Love action, head over to Soundcloud and track down the versions with verses by rappers T.I, Angel Haze and Future.
